This Luna moth photo was taken by a friend. Cora Lee loves to Identify moths (and butterflies). this is fuel for her life-long interest in lepidopterans (an order of insects that includes butterflies and moths).
This little guy was in the pool. Cora Lee also likes to identify spiders. This is one of the 30 wolf spiders that live in Florida. They eat insects and other spiders. We keep them from drowning if we can and relocate any that wander into our home.
Here is one of Cora Lee's favorite spider group: orb-weaver. This spider and many of its brothers and sisters on our property. (Gasteracantha cancriformis is a species of orb-weaver spider.)
